Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

I can remember times when my friends and I have sat around brainstorming what to buy their significant others for Valentine’s Day.

The stakes are higher after all. I know people who keep lists on their phones ready and waiting for the holidays to avoid our brainstorming sessions every year.

V Day Gift Guide

I’ve read that buying experiences is the best gift to give because monetary gifts can always be overshadowed by other more expensive or extravagant gifts. While I agree with that statement, I still think that a tangible item can be just as good as an experience.

This flask can be engraved and has a separate compartment for cigars. It looks like it came straight from Don Draper’s office.  For $28 you can’t go wrong with this.

These headphones have a cool design and allow you to make calls and adjust the volume just like any smartphone headphones but are much more comfortable. $33.

These tops reseal your wine bottle so there isn’t an open bottle waiting to be spilled in your fridge or on your counter. These make great host/hostess gifts too! $8

For the person who’s always using their phone or laptop (who isn’t these days?) these portable chargers make a thoughtful present. The powersticks can be used on almost anything. The best part is that you can still use your laptop or phone while the powerstick is charging the battery. These are great for traveling! $49 each.

I heard about these genius things on YouTube a few years ago and still haven’t bought one. This year is going to be the year. Named Travalo, these are portable perfume/cologne bottles. They’re the perfect size to take on weekend trips when you don’t want to lug around a big bottle of perfume. The Travalo website claims that they’re spill proof and boasts an Airplane Approved stamp. $15.99.
